Discovery is a piece for quartet featuring complex rhythms and sweeping melodies. This peice was originally written for the “Unheard-of// Ensemble” and was read at West Virginia University. The middle section features a luscious cello solo which delves back into the multi meter groove that recurs throughout the piece.

“Where Do I Belong?” is an oboe and bassoon feature with string quartet. These title stems from jazz influences of the piece which are atypical for double reed players. This unique fusion of styles and instrumentation offers the opportunity for double reed players to explore new styles with a solo feature.

“A Curious Cat’s Bewitching Hour” is one of my original works for string quartet. This piece is suppose to invoke the crazy, frantic antics of a cat at any hour between 12 am and 4 am. As all cat owners know, your cat just goes nuts between those hours and this piece is about my cats and their restless nights.
